My Credit is bruised and I had credit with H D Credit in the past, I paid my loan off in advance however due to life circumstances I was 90 days a couple of times nevertheless, I did pay off my loan in advance. Fast forward, I called them and the H.D. People told me they would approve me for a motorcycle loan if I came up with 50% down.
I visited my local Harley Dealer which were great we found a unit I liked and I explained my situation, after hours of paperwork, they turned me down. I have never been so humiliated in all my life. I was coming up with my 50% down, I have a good steady job etc... Had they told me they could or would not work with me it would have saved me a huge amount of embarressment and humiliation.
I must say though the Peterson Sales rep and people were very professional and made a bad situation pallatable.
Shame on h d credit! Shame on them!!!
