Arizona Federal Credit Union
AZFCU Raised my interest rates when I had never missed a payment

Business & Finance

I have been a member of Arizona Federal Credit Union for 20 years. I have had a credit card with them for 20 years and I have never been late or missed a payment. Last year I lost my job and was forced to short sale my home to move to a less expensive home. Shortly after my sale AZFCU randomly pulled my credit report, saw the short sale listed and TRIPLED my interest rate. They decreased my credit line from $6,500 to $500. When I called to explain my hardship and request that they adjust my interest rate back to where is was, because I had never missed a payment with the credit union (and I have had 4 auto loans, 2 personal lines of credit, 1 credit card); they told me there was nothing they could do. A week later I received a letter stating that they closed the credit card.
Stay away from this dishonest, no good bank. They have the worst customer service anyway. Go to Cxxx or Bxx of Axxx, at least it will be convenient to find a location.
Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
