I was quite surprised that my latest bill from GE Capitol said I had a late payment and gave me a $35 late fee. They also raised my interest from the original low 6% (approximately) to 21.98%!!
I'm lucky I can switch the balance to a legit company with a low interest rate! I have the GE Capitol credit from purchasing kitchen appliances at Brandsmart. At the time, I could have paid cash, but the salesman said I should put most of the price on their credit card. I was led to believe it was a Brandsmart credit card.
The salesman told me if I paid the amount off in a year it would be the same as cash. HA I believe I owe more money now than I did at the beginning! Why is this credit card company still in business?
