Brock Capital They promised me 2 half days of employment at $25/hour and I only worked 2 hours-they owe me money

I was hired for 2 1/2 days to view their books to give them a consult for payment. We agreed on payment hourly of $25 dollars and then we agreed to work together 2 half days (8 hours in total) for $200 total to see if we were a compatible match. Before this engagement agreement we had met two other days prior; once outside their offices and once in their offices. The person I was to replace is still working there and I feel as if I was used to "threaten" this employee with my presence. The day I was hired to go and actually work I met with another partner who is also a former CPA accountant who asked me several pointed questions I could not answer because I never saw their books. When I was given a chance to view the books I began to ask a lot of pertinent questions to which I was concerned and then I was called into the principals office (the old man CHARLES BROCK-CEO of company, who hired me) and promptly let go. I was given a $50 check but when I argued that I was to be paid the whole day as we verbally agreed I was told "take it or leave it".

This company made me promise to come to their offices from my home in NJ. Their offices are East side of the city, far away to say the least. I did as they asked because they told me to expect to work with them. I was not told why I was being dismissed and I looked up the company and there were no discrepancies that I could find and no disgruntled former employees; I figure they must have paid them off.

I feel as if I was used and I don't like the feeling. I wrote two letters to W. Manger and did not get a response and am writing to you to help me.

They owe me $150 dollars and I have no money to sue. All I wanted was a temp to perm job and I got stuck with multi-million dollars morons.
