Why did bank of america go nearly belly up??? They are dumb and lack intelligence. The managers are the supreme rulers of their branches without a district manager to monitor them... I closed my account due to excessive charges from one company... The incompetent associate forgot to put in the closing codes on my account, four days after i closed the account, there was a electronic debit processed by the bank from the same company i was trying to avoid... A few days later, they processed another debit to my account... Only when i complained, they realized that they had goofed up... I spoke to the manager, he did nothing, wrote to the Los Angeles dispute resolution center... No reply, wrote to their phoenix and wilmington offices... No reply... Contacted their electronic debit dept. (ACH) they said that they cant do anything, the manager should fix it... Like i said, there is no one higher up that i can talk to... Looks like i will have to take them to small claims court... As they are trying to collect these two debits plus a whole bunch of NSF chargesi... Also have a mortgage with them, in November, they changed their loan numbers. I had an auto debit for my mortgage payment, they did not take it our for November and December... I had to call them and give them the information again. Only then did they deduct the payments... Best of all their collection dept.in india called me and harrassed me many times... Money was always in the checking account... I closed all my accounts with this idot of a company... Stupid people work there.
