Virginia Bank and Trust
Put a hold on my account because my husband was in the negative on his account. This caused 3 checks to be returned. How can they touch my money when his name is not on my account

I have been a faithful customer at this bank for years. I had deposited money into my account to cover checks that I had written. I went back to the bank a couple of days later to make another deposit and I didn't have any money on my account because a hold had been placed without me being made aware of it. This hold was placed because my husband has an account there and he was in the negative on his checking account. They took my money to bring him current. They didn't let me know of this until after it was done. Yes, I'm married but his name is not on my account and no one should be able to touch my money without my permission.
