Robbing from Peter to pay Paul

Here's one that I haven't heard of.

My daughter opened a checking account with Bank of America when she was a minor (17) and had to have an adult attached to her account. My daughter is now 22 and has recently had some financial "challenges" which has caused her account to go negative. I have my small Bank of America Account for groceries, household essentials, and small things. It's a relatively small account but I do have my checks automatically deposited into my account every two weeks.

Bank of America has taken it upon themselves to dip into MY account and pull money to deposit into my daughter's account to the tune of almost 400.00! This, of course, has caused my little account to go negative and then they will make more money from my outstanding checks (which I DID have money to cover) off the overdraft fees they charge.

It's a "win-win" for Bank of America. They get to steal from me and then CHARGE me for it! I was not given the courtesy of a notification of said theft, nor was I given any kind of warning that this would or could happen. I just don't understand how this is ethical or how they see it as a good business practice. I don't feel that it's my responsibility to pay my adult daughter's debts, nor do I feel that I have been fairly treated by BOA. I have banked with them for years and it will be a pain but they have received their absolute last automatic deposit from me. Small potatoes, yes but it's all I know to do.
