Advanced Management Services NW, LLC (AMS) BEWARE! Scam alert!

Business & Finance

My elderly mother was contacted by this company (or by their affiliate Advanced Management Services NW, LLC) in May. They promised to reduce her credit card interest rates, with a guaranteed savings of $2500. They promised a full refund of $790 if they were unsuccessful. She was told that she had 3 days if she changed her mind and could request a full refund at that time. Within the 3 day time period, we were emailed a cancellation form, which we filled out and faxed back to 817-354-5488 on the very next day, May 29. Phone call after phone call with various people resulted in the acknowledgement that, yes, they did receive our cancellation request, and a refund was being processed. Each month we waited in good faith for the refund to show up as a credit on the credit card statement. We contacted the credit card company to dispute the charge, but the time limit had expired. We have never received any service from this company. We never filled out the paperwork the company sent us to enroll in this plan. The only thing they ever did was charge our credit card $790.00. I have left messages... Numbering in the hundreds, in the seven months this has been on-going. We were defrauded and lied to.

This has had a devastating effect on my elderly mother, affecting her in a negative way financially, physically, and emotionally. It has taken up hours of her time and my time, trying to get a resolution.

On November 10 the Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, filed suit against PDMI, run by William Fithian, and AMS, owned by Ryan Bishop. They are charged with violating the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

If you look at the rebuttals posted on this site by Gary Lehmbert, supervisor of PDMI, you will find he tries to justify his company's tactics by quoting the following (numerous times): "all these complaints against our company are totally unfounded due to the fact, that not one of them has given us enough information to pull their file and respond with proof to usacomplaints.com or any other institution, and also this is simply nothing but a dissatisfied customer telling only half truths to justify their own means."

Well Gary, what kind of information do you need to "pull my file"? I've been leaving messages on your phone for 7 months and you still don't have enough information?

Folks, the Attorney General does not file suit based on "half truths". Please research this yourself before falling for anything this company tries to sell you. The internet is full of horror stories like mine where innocent people are being scammed.

Thanks for listening
