Charged after cancelling

Business & Finance

I registered on 10/1/09 for a one-week "trial period" for a charge of $1.50 with the understanding that if I cancelled before the trial period was up that no further charges would be made to my charge card. I terminated on 10/8/09 and received a cancellation email on that same-day.

Many days later, I then found out that the cost of $69.00 was designed to my bank card on 10/9/09. It was significantly more than was in my own consideration at that time, and so I was additionally billed $35.00 being an overdraft demand from my lender.

I called "customer support" many times requesting they return the $69 cost in addition to the $35 charge, and was hung-up on many times.

I had been eventually informed that the reimbursement of the $69 have been "required" which it required 5-10 business days to approach.

I called many times within the next four weeks, because the reimbursement hadn't seemed in my own bill.

I called again 12/2/09 (nearly 2 months from cancelling) and was told by "customer service" that the "refund request" was denied, and that the decision by the "corporate office" was closing. I had been also informed that I really could not contact the organization workplace to go over this issue, or might "customer support" move my phone there.

I'm currently out $104.00 with nothing to exhibit for this.
