Ripoff Abusive, Horrible, Business from hell! Screaming employees. Violates Fair Debt Collections Practices Act

This third party debt collector should be put out of business once and for all. I found that there have already been lawsuits filed against them in Illinois and
Wisconsin for violating the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA).

I owe less then $500 on my Capital One credit card.
I won't go into the details here of the financial nightmare we have found ourselves in. But after trying to work out payment arrangements with Capital One, they turned my account over for collections to NCO Financial Systems Inc.

I just recieved a phone call from some lunatic at NCO Financial Systems Inc. We are in the process of filing bankruptcy. This abusive, hateful man with a middle eastern or Indian accent proceeds to SCREAM at me to pay my bills, that they are sick of "my games". I tried to tell him that I have an attorney and am filing bankruptcy. I tried to give him the information to contact my attorney and he wouldn't let me! He screamed at me that I was lying, and kept screaming at me over and over that I was liar, and to pay my bills. He wouldn't even let me talk. After screaming at me and calling me names for several minutes, he slammed the phone down in my ear.

I immediately called back and spoke to someone else and was finally able to give them my attorney's contact info. I also asked if it was common practice for their employees to scream at people and call them names when they are calling, and the man said no. But I see from other reports that this IS a common practice for them to be as abusive and hateful as they want. I also informed them that I would be filing a complaint with my state's attorney general and the Federal Trade Commission, which I have just finished doing. He didn't seem bothered in the least by this. He didn't even have the decency to apologize for what they had done to me.

You know, bad things happen to people financially, things that are beyond your control. And you can get behind on your bills. Our economay is in a slump. My state's unemployement rate is the highest it has been in 17 years!

I don't care how much money you owe a company, there is no excuse whatsover for a company to treat people like this and to scream at them and call them names. And I took this horrible abuse over less then $500.

This company needs to be put out of business! Do an internet search. They are repeat violators of the FDCPA.
