We purchased an extended warranty through advantage protection for our sony tv. We started having issues with our 6k tv in november. We contacted advantage protection and after numerous attempts we finally were able to get hold of a rep. They sent a "repaiman " out a week later. This is where the nightmare begins. The "tech" showed up with his barking dog in his truck. And without ever looking at our set or turning it on he told us he would have to return to pickup our set... We contacted advantage and said that wouldnt work... Send somebody else. W/o a dog. Each time you try to contact them it takes appx. 1/2-45 mins. Finally 2-weeks later another tech showed whom seemed experienced. He ordered parts returned a week later installed the parts and the set promptly went out again... We contaced advantage and told them about the set... They sent somebody else out 2-weeks later. He also seemed experienced. He diagnosed our set and thank god! Said he would order the correct parts and return in a week to install them [ chantilly tv ] shocker he also fell off the face of the earth. We called morning noon and nights to no avail... Poof! Even advantage tried calling no-luck. The next techs came out and said they would have to return and take our set back to their shop. We googled the company [ executive tv ] suitland md. And were appaled at their reveiws. One called them a ghetto operation another said they broke their tv twice another said they had horrible, horrible service... We declined letting them take our tv... Our backs are up against the wall... We finally contacted b.B.B. This company advantage protection is a joke! Clearly a rip off to the consumers... We will never purchase another one of these plans or a sony product... We have a very beautiflul 60 " black "screen tv... We are business owners and couldnt and wouldnt treat our customers this way.
