Universal Financial - AC credit They give you hope then rip you off! Carrolton

We recieved a letter in the mail telling us that we could get a loan up to 5,000 dollars garunteed, no matter what our credit history etc. SOOOO i called the number on this paper (steve with AC credit) and asked him a ton of questions. He told me that i needed to sign the paper work and send a 70 dollar money order to him so he could get our application processed. He kept reasuring me that they were a lagitament company and that if for any reason we would not get the loan we would get our money back.
So kinda hesatant... We went ahead and faxed our application and overnighted the money. We are very behind in our cc bills... And are wanting to file for bankruptcy... So i thought this was the answer to our problems. After about 3 days he called me and told me that we were approved and everything was "good to go"... Still kinda suprised... He told us we would recieve a check in 7-12 buisness days. Soo about a week went by and we recieve a letter from UNIVERSAL FINANCIAL telling us we needed to fill out this app and send in a 55 dollar money order.
So right away i picked up my phone and called Steve with AC credit. Left a message to give me a call back and he called me back that same day. (thought that was kinda weird he was the only one answering the phone) and he always called me back the same day i called him. He then told me that they didnt need that 55 dollars bc we went thru him first as kinda a middle man... So just to fill out their app and send it in. So we did. 3 days later we get a letter from UNIVERSAL FINANCIAL telling us that they cannot not process our loan bc we didnt send the 55 dollars for the "membership fee".
So i then call Steve back with AC credit telling him what the letter had stated and everything. He then said well they must of changed their policy... Yea ok... I was kinda ticked bc now it has delayed AGAIN this whole process. BUT he reasured me AGAIN that this was a lagitament company and that we would get all of our money back if we didnt get the loan. But everything looks good...
2 weeks go by... And hear nothing... I kept trying to call Steve and UNIVERSAL FINANCIAL but could not get a phone call back. FINALLY i tried calling UNIVERSAL FINANCIAL one more time and someone actually answered! He told me that they have processed my application and that it will be finished up and they will mail out my agreement with my payment due dates and amounts and stuff on tuesday. This was monday when he told me this. So all week we kept checking the mail.
Finally friday we got a letter from universal financial... Only to open it and they said they rejected our application. After a month in half pulling our chain they reject it! And you would think they would of put our 55 dollars in with that rejection letter... But NO!!!
NOW i can not get either company to call me back. I dont know what to do or who to go to. There has got to be something we can do. Im obveously im not the only person they have SCAMMED!!! I would just really like my 125.00 dollars back. I guess if it sounds too good to be true it really is...
