Cambridge Credit Counseling AKA UNIVERSAL FINANCIAL ripoff

I contacted this company about a loan. They said I would still be able to get the loan, even though I had recently been discharged from a bankruptcy. I called and spoke with this man 3 times, because I wanted to make sure of what he was telling me.

It should have been a sign to me that this was a rip off, because each time I called, the same man answered the phone.

He told me that even though I have recently been in a bankruptcy, that I would still be able to get the loan, because those were the ones that really would be approved, because now, you have no bills.

He faxed me the form, and told me to send in $55.00 to join the membership in order to get the loan, and I would get my loan papers in approximately 1 week.

I had already spoken with him about my salary and the bankruptcy, so it was really weird to me to get a rejection letter saying that I had insufficient income, lack of capacity and excessive obligations in relations to income.

But it said, I could get help in consolidating bills through Cambridge Credit Counseling.

Well, in the first place, How can I have excessive obligations, when I don't even have any obligations. I don't need Cambridge Credit Counseling. I don't have any bills to list with them.

This man told me anything to get me to send in my money. Now, I have been trying to call them to get a refund of my $55.00 and cannot get an answer. I also wrote and told them that I am very dis-satisfied and would like my money back.

I think it is a shame for these people to be ripping hard working people off, and I would like yto warn other people before they send this man $55.00. He has no intentions of you getting a loan, whatsoever.
