I purchased a new jet ski last fourth of July, from Sunwest Sports. (Another story) I had financed it through who I thought was Polaris Watercraft Company. My contract entitled me to a six month, no payment, no interest loan. So I was told that my billing cycle would start on January 4.

I received my statement around January 9th, which was 6 months after my purchase. However, my bill stated that there was still no payment due, and when I called to ask about it, the customer service representative stated that since I made the purchase on the 4th, my six months would start on the 1st of the next month, leading to my first real billing cycle being in February. When I received the February statement, my original balance of around $9,000 had incurred finance charges of around $150 dollars, even though my first payment had not been due yet.

I was pissed but I let it slide, then payed my due balance of around 200$ that was due on Feb 24 on the 15th of the same month. So, my balance on that day that they stated my payment was received should have been $8,950. ($9,000 $150 - $200) However they didn't deduct my payment from the balance even though my check was cashed.instead, they charged finance charges on the 9150, dated March 1, and then took the $200 out of my balance. My balance was now $9100, which was $100 more than the purchase amount after already paying $200.

After paying $876 to HRS Polaris

New Balance= $9,056 (until they charge about $150 in finance charges=$9,206

$99 towards pay off

$777 towards interest
