Unbelievable, over 1600 reports here. We've been trying for modification for 9 months!

Accidentally found this site when looking for information about Ocwen. Like others here, we have been asking for a loan modification.in October when the economy really went downhill, my husband's small business almost ground to a halt.in addition, I was out on disability for almost a year, getting 60% of my income while being treated for Breast Cancer. We used all of our savings trying to keep up. We fell behind on the mortgage and asked for a modification. I have sent literally, tons of information to them. They kept claiming they didnt receive it. Then when Obama's plan went into effect in March or April, we had to fill out all new forms and resubmit everything. They still keep telling me when I call that they are missing something. And they claim to have emailed or called us and this is not true. Then their collection people call us from India and ask over and over: why are we behind on our payments? We keep telling them, the economy and my illness. We also are continuously told that we WILL get a modification and that everything is in order and it's under review. Then we'll call a week later, and lo and behold, they are missing something else again. I absolutely HATE picking up my mail every day as they send non-stop Certified Mail to us. I find the little orange slips in the box and then have to miss work to go to the PO to pick up the notices of default. We are at our wits end. I am going to write them a letter and fax it in and call and record the conversation. Then I'm going to the AG about them. This can't keep going on and on.
