Bogus fees charged unwittingly through electronic signature, how could this be? Did I really just throw away $179.00?

Has anyone had any success fighting the cancellation of their card. I had no idea there were ever initial fees on a credit card, much less $179 on a $300 dollar limit, this is outrageous. Is there a class action suit?
