Rip off Force-placed Insurance on our home and threatened to foreclose on the home even though all payments were on time!

I had heard from friends that this company was no good, but ignored them and then started getting harrasing phone calls and threatening letters of foreclosure along with force placed insurance. Then tonight, while watching channel 13 "News you can Use, " I then found out that I'm not alone in all this and that this company really is a burden to its mortgage holders.

After being transfered from Equicredit to Fairbanks Capital Corp., our mortgage has been nothing but problems. We first started recieving letters of foreclosure two days after the due date because of payments not recieved when we had sent them out on time and they get there a day late. Then came letters of force-placed insurance when we had homeowners insurance. Letter after letter and the escrow account keeps getting bigger.

Countless calls to their servicing center, and no answer, just machines. Finally getting through to talk to a warm body on the other end of the line, yet they have no answer. We faxed and faxed and faxed copies of homeowners insurance policy and after about 6 months of faxing they finally recieved it and then made us pay for the six months of coverage that we had through there insurance lender, eventhough we already had insurance. This company is a discrace and I'm glade that I'm not alone and hopefully with these letters someone will see some sort of trend and pursue a law suit or look into why this company is still in business.
