Wachovia Bank
Safety deposit box ripoff - 2 key entry

Business & Finance

I was assigned Administrator of my Grandmother's Estate in January.in February the bank allowed the POA to go and drill open my Grandmother's safety deposit box and remove the contents without an inventory without my knowledge and without notification to me as the Administrator of the Estate. I have disputed called argued did everything I know to do; however the bank does not acknowledge any problem and or wrong doing. According to the law, "POA is obsolete once the person becomes deceased".

What can I do to have some kind of closure for this wrongful doing with Wachovia. Not only did they allow this here in Charlotte, NC they also allowed someone to go to my Grandmother's safety deposit box in Baltimore, Maryland/Eastern Blvd. To go and remove all documents out of that box this box however, had my name on it as well.

According to everyone I talked to if you have the key and a drivers license you can go into anybody's safety deposit box. I thought the word "SAFETY" deposit box mean't it was safe?

No one seems to show an interest in this but I feel deprived of what could have been rightfully mine... And the other heirs involved in the settlement of the estate.
