Fairbanks Capital is the worst. Their staff members are impolite, incompetent and arrogant.
When GreenPoint announced that my mortgage was being transferred to Fairbanks, knowing their bad reputation, I tried to stop it and refinance with another bank. It took 5 months for Fairbanks to respond to my request for an assignment of my mortgage, and then they told me they could not do it because GreenPoint still held my mortgage.
GreenPoint contacted them and instructed them on how to proceed, and still they claimed they could not do it. After I wrote a complaint letter explaining my losses during all that time, they said simply that they will not do it. I believe they dragged this out all this time to collect more payments from me.
