Went in to speak w/manager JOE MOORE about huge overdrafts. Unavailable. Finally spoke with him on phone and he immediately starts out with there is nothing i can do - you are overdrawn. No question. When i try to explain why i have a problem with an unintentional mistake by a retailer, his voice rose about 3 octaves and gets louder and he says that i was overdrawn and there was not a banking error. (this mistake by retailer cost me at least the overdraft fee of $36 plus the $8 daily and i'm sure it was within his authority to refund that to me) — and there was nothing he could do.
Hard to believe that this guy has any sort of degree, because clearly he could not think straight enough to even answer my question.
When i informed him that i was then left with no choice but to pursue a formal complaint, he said i did not give him the chance to do anything. So&i asked him what his solution was and he said there was nothing he could do!!! This man was not smart & at all!
I can see that National City is scraping the bottom of the barrel for employees. I think that it is not helping their attempt to stay out of bankruptcy!!
