On several occassions, I have been in receipt of emails addressed to (REDADCTED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES), with my partial home address and phone number on header and in the begining of the email. The email offers help to obtain federal grant moneys without having to repay it to the federal government.
"You've heard about people getting $25,000 checks delivered to their mailbox - money that doesn't have to be repaid."
The email also encourages you to visit an url http://homebiz-online-help.com/sohtaiks? E=5BGCzurGbgNzKbG3KEDu9Kbw&m=1302656&l=0
Once you are at the site, it offers great amounts of money on a monthly basis, an then asks you questions, each sending you to another web page until you are asked to provide personal financial information. If you do not answer the questions, it continues to offer ways to earn easy money all the way up to food coupons.
This is definetely a physhing scam and the IP addresses need to be followed and the people detained in they are within our borders. OR at least broadcast to people that have losttheir jobs, or the elderly of this type of scam.
