I bought my first home in September. I was very excited because I had overcome divorce, bankruptcy and now I was finally on the road to financial recovery. When I bought my home the original financing was through National City Mortgage. My payments were sent to Louisville, Kentucky.

During the first year of my home ownership every payment was sent and received on time. Then, one month, I had some serious home repairs that were mandatory and I was going to be late... Once. However I was told that I would have to bring the account completely current because FHA would not allow payment arrangments unless I was at least 3 months behind. I started trying to come up with the money to bring the account current, but now it was closing in on 3 payments due. I finally had to agree to a forebearance agreement. The agreement stated that if you see you are going to be late, call us. Well I had such a problem arise that I was going to be one week late, so I called them. They treated me as if I was breaking the agreement and returned the forebearance payments I had made.

I was attempting to reinstate the forebearance agreement when all communication with National City Mortgage stopped.in one particular frustrating conversation I learned that my mortgage had been sold to Aurora Loan Services and that I would have to wait for them to contact me. After thirty (30) days, I called National City back and was given phone numbers to contact Aurora Loan Services but was told by them that I would have to wait for someone to contact me. Another week later I called and was told to wait. Another week went by, I called again, this time I was told that my mortgage was not the only paper that was purchased and I would just have to wait on someone to call me. Now we are sixty (60) days into Aurora Loan Services owning my mortgage, making my mortgage now five (5) months delinquent.

Finally I received an invoice from Aurora Loan Services for a one month payment. I thought, okay, send in this payment, see what happens. I got a phone call almost immediately upon their receipt of that one payment, and was told that FHA would not allow them to accept partial payments. I asked why did Aurora sent me an invoice, but only received an unintelligent, incoherent answer. Well, I waited yet another thirty (30) days before anyone else attempted to make contact with me.By this time, I am so dilequent there is no recovery because they want so much money in a lump sum. Even saving my payments each month was no where near close to what they wanted! The next thing I knew I was receiving correspondence from their attorneys in Georgia, but didn't get anywhere there either. It was always... The person you needed to talk to is not in. Don't we all need jobs like that!!!? The next thing I received was a notice that a foreclosure sale of my home was scheduled and I had to vacate the property.

Now it seems to me that FHA got blamed with a lot of why Aurora Loan Services and National City Mortgage could not work with me. All the while advertised on their websites "hardship" programs to help you keep your home. The problem... I never qualified for a workout plan.

Now, I'm homeless. I'm forced to live with my sister and her family. If Aurora Loan Services wants to collect homes, okay! I collect roses, everybody likes to collect something. Just please remove the the foreclosure from my credit history, so I can find a place for my daughter and me to live.
