In December I received a letter from Fairbanks Capital that I was in the rears on my house payment. I have never been late on a payment let alone missed a payment so I called them to find out what was going on. The letter they sent did not give me any information. When I called they told me that I did not have insurance on my house from October till October. (two years earlier) I told them yes I had insurance I got their fax number and faxed a copy over to them.in the mean time they increased my house payment $60.00 a month. I was told not to worry about that just to pay my regular payment and everything would be taken care of since I faxed over a copy of the insurace.

January 14 I received a letter saying that they had not received my January house payment. I immediatly went on-line and looked up my bank account and and printed a copy of the canceled check that had cleared the bank on January 2nd. I called Fairbanks and told them I had a copy of the canceled check and they preceded to tell me that they had received my check and they had indeed cashed it but since I did not send them the other $60.00 that they had put my money in a seperate account and when they received the rest of it they would apply it to my account.

I threw a fit when I found this out but what good did that do nothing because they don't give a crap about their customers. I ended up having to pay $60.00 over the phone by check. Then they wanted to charge me $20.00 for this service and once again I threw a fit and they did decide not to charge me. It is now April 21 and since December I have faxed a the proof of insurance nine times. My account still is not cleared up. I spoke to Marsha (in January) who handles the insurance and I was told that it would take 90 days to clear this matter up. I do not understand why it would take this long, don't they use computers? I have spoke to just about everyone at this company and I was told today that it would take another 4 to 6 weeks for customer service to do their thing.

In the meantime I am paying $60.00 more a month on my home loan, the idiots show me in the rears on my account and I have a $25.00 late charge from January where they cashed my check and put it in a holding accout until they received more money. Why didn't they apply what I sent to my account?

I have never spoke to anyone that can help me clear this matter up, They keep telling me it will take 90 days for this 4 to 6 weeks for that. This is ridiculous it has been 5 months, 5 months too long. These people at Fairbanks are incompotent. I am worring now that my account will ever be cleared up.
