$300 charge to be told that we have a ZERO credit rate and three months to 'find' a lender before we pulled out. Spring Texas

We were put onto this mortgage company by Barabar Mc Clellan (rbrcsa@sbcglobal.net) who specialises in Foreclosure houses. Grandmark Mortgage then asked for a $300.00 fee for processing the application. Carla Preston was 'working' on our case, she failed to keep us updated on her progress despite numerous e-mails (she does not answer her telephone), was extremely abrupt and, in some cases, down right rude in her dealings with us.informed us that we had a ZERO credit score-when this later proved to be false-and that she was 'running out of lenders to apply to' when, after almost three months of waiting, I pushed her for a result. I gave her the benefit of the doubt until she suggested that I tried someone else. Of course I took up this offer and requested a refund. This, she said, was impossible as she had worked on the application as agreed but failed to provide any evidence to us when asked, saying that information gained by them about us would and could only be passed on to another mortgage broker.
Within ten days of us going to another mortgage company, we have not only been approved but have purchased a house. We have a good Credit Report score and are extremely happy that everything Grandmark Mortgage had said turned out to be false.
