Americas 1st Visa
Ripoff fraudulent ripoff business Internet

Business & Finance

I was sent an email from this company, and told I was approved for a visa or master card, and I was to send them $49.95 for processing fee and they would send the card. This was done thru my checking account debit card, on Saturday March 15th.

Come Monday Morning, March 17th, 03; they had quickly debited my account for the amount above. After a couple of weeks waiting for my card thru the mail, and in not hearing anything at all, I begin to search the internet for a phone no, or address to where I could reach them. There were none, so I called information on
the telephone, and they had no listing for Americas 1st Visa.

Finally, I went to my bank statement and for goodness sakes, I found where the bank had placed the telephone no. Beside the debit of 49.95... I called the no. 888-308-6710, and a woman answered the phone, and when I explained why I was calling, she claimed she knew nothing, however; she gave me another telephone
no to call: 800-460-3718, and upon calling this number, a man answered the phone, and upon telling him for my call, he told me that he also knew nothing except that this number, was for canceling the visa card. He said that he would have my 49.95, back into my account in one week. A week and a half passed by, and checking my bank account, I found there had been no reversal of the money put back into my account.

I recalled the number again, and a woman answered this time, and in our talks, she advised me that it took 30 days this time, for the transaction to
take effect. Therefore, I waited the thirty days, and again in checking my account, still there had been no kind of transaction for a reversal of funds put back into my account. This, by this time, all this was geting acvating to me. Today, after the 30
days has elapsed, I again recalled the 800 number again, and again this woman or another one answered, however; this time it was different again. Now, its 30 to 60 days before the money is reversed back into my account...

I really don't know about anybody else, because 49.95 does not seem to be very much to worry about, however; its the idea of it all, that you feel that you've been ripped off and defrauded also by these persons or company if it really exists. It really hurts the businesses that are loyal to the internet, cause when something like this occurs, it makes you stop and think about doing business over the internet or buying or purchasing anything
as well from the internet ever again... And something else, I was actually thought I was geting a real Credit visa card, and you know what, its only a pay card where you put your money on the card its not really a true credit card...

Again, False Advertisement on the internet. What will people think of next to get free money from hard working people and those who are on Social Security benifits these day and cannotafford to loose their 49.95 the way I beleive I have.
