Privacy Disclosure

I am writing this on behalf of my mother. My mother has a Bank of America credit card that is with a debt consolidation company. Bank of America has been notified that this account is in a debt consolidation program.

A Bank of America rep called my mothers home and left a very unprofessional message. The message said something along the lines of, I don't know why you are not receiving our calls but I have a public list of everyone with the same last name in your community and I will use it to locate you. You or your daughter need to call me.

A few days later this rep called my brothers home and left a message as well as contacted her inlaws. The message that was left on their machine was in violation of a privacy disclosure. The messages that was left on their machines was his name, he told that my mother owed Bank of America a certain amount of money and she better pay it.

Now, just because my last name may be "Doe" does not mean I know or that I am related to the next "Doe." So, my mother's personal information is being told to people she may or may not know and something needs to be done.in this economy every one is experiencing something.
