Insurance - Global Contact Services Telemarketing calls from Global Contact Services on behalf of Bank of America Insurance

I've rec'd several calls that show up on my caller ID as BANK OF AMERICA. It's from representatives claiming to be from Bank of America offering insurance for automobile accidents.

They keep calling me and asking for someone who had my phone number before I did. I informed them that that person no longer has this number, that I'm not interested in the insurance product they were offering, that my phone number has been registered on the National Do Not Call List for almost 2 years and to please stop calling me.

They informed me that they would remove my phone number from their list and it could take up to 30 days. I had that conversation with them on February 4th.

That, however, didn't prevent them from calling again later that same day, then again on February 6th, March 3rd, and then again on March 10th (March 10th being a date past the 30 day mark of which they promised the calls would stop).

The last time they called on March 10th, I called Bank Of America 3-way with the representative from the "Insurance Services" Department on the phone. The Insurance rep informed the BofA rep that she was calling from Global Contact Services http://www.gcsagents.com / on behalf of BofA.

The BofA rep could not confirm weather the calls were legitimate, however, she also could not confirm that they were fraudulent.

What I do know is that Global Contact Services has a complete disregard for the rules set forth by the National Do Not Call List and when you speak to them they claim they will remove your phone number within 30 days but obviously don't feel it's necessary to actually do so.
