Federal Loan Modification
Tried to get $3500 the same day to "get started", los angeles

Thanks to Connie and all of you who have been scammed (or almost scammed) by fedmod.com. I came THIS close to sending them my credit card info yesterday to allow them to access $3500.

I first became suspicious when the "modification specialist", John Chu, wanted me to remit (via email) my credit card info which would allow this company to access $3500 on my account. WHAT?!

Fortunately, I decided to go on line to check them out before continuing with any negotiations... And found your letters!

When reading the various letters i noticed that some people were asked for $1000 up front, others $1500, and others could make payments in increments. I guess they'll work you any way just to get some money.

Connie I'd contact your State Attorney General and make a report. You may get some help there on getting your money back. Meantime, I'm going to contact attorneys in my area who may be able to help with modification of my mortgage loan. Also, at fed. Mod.com there is a link for a home modification loan package that (reportedly) will walk you through everything you need to apply for one with your mortgage holder. It costs $50 but may be something to consider... Better than $3500 UP FRONT!!!
