Another way a scammer violates the general public

I got involved with this company in July. The company promised to clean up my credit while they offered me a computer (Dell) and as incentive, a Wii game AND an mp3 player free. I was to send $99.00 as down payment and every Friday they took $29.99. After I made the 5th payment, they were to send me the Dell computer. Of course that never happened.

I waited until September to call them and all this time they debited my account $29.99. I called, waited 45 minutes to finally talk to a rep. I was told I had a delivery date of the week of Oct 20. Of course it never came.

I called again and waited 45 min and the rep told me Dell fell behind on their production and my delivery date was moved to Jan. I called several times and was told they don't ship computers in Dec because of the threat of theft in transit.

I have now paid them $938. Plus, and last week I received a letter telling me to sign the new contract for layaway. I don't know where to turn. I read other complaints with this company and now realize I have been scammed. The funny part of this whole mess is that my credit doesn't need to be cleaned up. My credit is good. It was just a way to receive a computer without doling out a chunk of money at once. Can you help me?
