Will not honor warranty

Purchased leather couch & loveseat and in home warranty on 05/02/08. Noticed in November stains appearing in the leather. Called customer service for in home stain removal. They took pictures and sprayed Windex on the stain. Salesperson said all stains were covered. Technician stated only pet waste and human food stains covered. We went to store and spoke to manager Johnny Agosto. He asked for more photos and said he would stand behind his warranty. I sent him photos. He called back telling us the stains appeared to be battery acid stains and would not be covered. We explained that the stains continued to appear on other parts of the furniture and were starting to come out on the loveseat as well. We asked him how that would happen and he had no answer. We have no access to any battery acids. City furniture offered to send us leather material and we would have to bear the cost of reupholstering the furniture. I believe them not standing by their warranty is a breach of contract. They offered no other solutions or any other way to address our complaints. This is not the way a large retail company should treat their customers, especially in a recession.
