Rip-off

I clicked on an icon that said "Free Credit Report". When I reached the site it listed 3 reporting agencies. I clicked on 1 and it sid I had to pay $5.00, so I did. It said I could get all 3 for $29.95, so I clicked and got all three. On my October statement I was charged $5.00 for each report PLUS $24.95, so the total charge was $39.95. On my December statement, which I didn'tlook at until the end of January, there was a charge for $79.95.

There was a phone number listed below it so I called and asked what the charge was for. They told me I signed up for 1 years worth of credit monitoring. I told them I didn't sign up for anything. They told me I signed up for a trial membership and I had to candel within 1 month. I told them I didn't sign up for anything and I didn't want it. They told me it was to late to cancel. I never wanted this "membership" and had no idea I would be charged for it.

I also think that charging me $39.95 for 3 credit reports that individually would only cost $15.00 was ridiculous, especially when they charged the $5.00 for each report and the $24.95 for alal three.
