Rip-off liers cheats money grubers should be investigated

My credit was already not doing well after i go ill back

In 1998.

I was offered a secured credit card from direct

Merchants bank. You needed to put $50.00 dollars in a

Saving account plus a one time fee of $29.99 or rush

Delivery of $49.99.

I thouhgt this might be a way to rebuild my credit and

Get back on track. The card had a $300.00 line of credit

Which was fine.

Well i made a couple of small purchases and paid on time.

On the third payment due they started calling me saying

That my payments were coming late. I know that i was

Sending them money orders there is no hold put on money

Orders.

So needless to say my bill skyrocketed they kept

Charging my account late&overlimit fees of

$29.00 $29.00 what i owe finance charges appox=70.00

Per billing interest=$84.00 per billing.

I called several times they wrer rude said there was no

Mistakes and continued to charge me and call and harass

Me day and night and on the weekend some times as late

As 10:00pm.

So finally i called and said that i would not pay unless

They took off the charges. So what did they do they took

The saving account without ever telling me and turned

Over the account to collection. And now called saying

That my account balance was $1024.00 i called again and

Told how can that be when i have not used the card in 6-

8 months. I dont know was their response and laughed. So

Now i have bad credit all over again.

My feelings are that there should not be any overlimit

Fees to begin with because you have a credit limit and

Should not be alloud to exceed bank do this as away to

Generate hugh amounts of cash in thier pockets.

They should put a freeze on the card before it reaches

Its limit with the finance charges on whats on your

Balances.

Late fees i can see if you dont pay on time.
