Sony Special Offer for Ps3 Internet

Beware of Special Offers by Sony. My son wanted a Ps3 for Christmas but due to the high price of this item I refuse to get this machine for him. While searching on the Internet for other gifts ideas I came across a promotion by Sony. The promotion offered a $150.00 credit toward the purchase of Sony Ps3.in order to qualify for this credit I had to apply for a Sony Visa Card. The add stated "get instant approval" but as soon as I submitted the application I received a message thanking me for my application and that I would be notified of their decision by mail within 30 days. There's only 18 days left until Christmans: what would be the purpose for me to apply for this promotion if I cannot get a decision instantly as clearly stated on their website. Of course, cancelling my application cannot be done as there are no phone number to use to do so. I am sick and tired of these large companies taking advantage of people by misleading them with contradicting statements. I will never buy a Sony product again. Hope this company files for bankruptcy like many others.
