Overdraft Fraud, Deceptive Practices, Balance switching! Washington DC

Bank of America is BIG for a reason. Now that too many customers are aware of the checks paid highest to lowest to overdraw the account, the scammers have devised a new fraud tactic. BOA will change your on-line statements to collect overdrafts. I have went so far as to print my balance, make a deposit and then check a few hours later only to have overdraft charges show. I was told that we charge for "pending items". Hummmmmmm. How in the *ell is that legal when the item has not cleared and there is sufficient funds to cover the item. I have found it impossible to keep up with their games. Most folks say, well just close your account. NOT!!! I guarantee there will be a class action suit in the near future. Too many customers are pissed and I know for a fact that there is no way BOA can continue to steal the consumers money. Sad part is BOA knows damn well that once they overdraft an account chances are you will continue to overdraft and be stuck for a while. Now some will say that a good check book registar will alleviate all the fees. To hell with that statement. We are speaking about BOA preying on consumers and literally BANKING on overdraft fees using tactics that are sure to benefit the bank. My husband and I have zero debt, great credit and basically live within our means. We both have Master degrees and still are victims of BOA. Sad part is we have four direct deposits arriving into our account and its not that easy to change. Please use caution when using BOA. Be aware!!! I have vowed not to use my check card because of these tactics. Yes, it is a convenience&but a costly one.
