Wrongful Overdraft Fees and Degrading treatment by Bank Manage

I recently for the first time experienced the cruel, degrading and controlling behavior of a U S Bank manager when I was desperately trying to fix my checking account due to a rampage of overdraft fee's that were unneccessary and wrong!!!

I communicated with the bank at the first sign of the problem and was told by the manager that it wasn't the banks problem; maybe I should keep a ledger. WOW - does she know whether I already keep one or not. I then discussed with her that it was the bank that would not extend me the overdraft protection they "required" me to have. She said I wasn't qualified for protection because of my credit score (which is in the upper 660's and is not terrible) I shared with her that I was aloud a small Christmas loan at a Credit Union where I bank, she said verbatim " well they must have lower standards."

Suddenly I was a street person begging for a dime. She only became more controlling of the situation and more degrading and said she would close the account immediately after I made yet another deposit. She lied to me and did not close the account which now I had been charged another overdraft fee, even though my account was clearly in the positive!

A teller at another branch tells me a different story saying they can't close an account on the same day of a deposit (which mind you was CASH). I am just an everyday person who has never overdrawn my account in the 3 years I have been with U S BAnk and suddenly I'm fighting for my life to get this account squared away (going as far as jumping in my car in my pajama's to get to the bank as soon as it opens before the overdraft monster attacks my account) and sure enough it is closeable (zero'd out) when I leave the bank and then 3 hours later there is another overdraft fee to make it negative and it can't be closed.

I call the manager and leave a message, I call the other branch and leave a message: NO ONE returns my calls. Next day, I call and get ahold of the teller at the other branch and he says he cannot help but he put in a call to the branch manager and she would call me back but more than likely they won't reverse the fee's.

Today is 5 of the longest days of this sad and rediculous stuation and I had to call the branch manager who then closed the account and took the opportunity to abuse me just one more time. Who do we have to be, how much money do we have to have to be somebody to this higher than thou U S Bank??? Forget it, I am a proud and hard working American and I deserve to be treated with respect and honesty at any bank whether I have $50 or $500,000 ~ I am U.S. Citizen and am one person who makes up all of the people in america and I COUNT...
