Excessive Prepayment Fee on Commercial Real Estate Mortgage

If you are considering a commercial real estate mortgage with Citibank, don't do it! They charge ridiculous prepayment fees. They make the fees impossible to calculate on your own. Even they have to have their loan department figure it out over a couple of days.

I have a loan with them with about 34 months remaining, and the penalty would be about 88% of the total interest I would pay if I just kept on the regular payment schedule. When that loan is paid off, I'm gone!
