Ripoff They Like Our Money

My husband and I have had multiple problems with BOA. On one of the occassions that BOA decided they'd like some of our money they deducted a good size atm withdrawal from our account and then charged us an overdraft item fee, which cause 3 or 4 more items to be overdrawn and one to bounce... This would all make sense had the atm withdrawal been made with our atm card but it was from another persons... OOPSY When we went to the bank I had not yet been added to my husbands account.

I was instructed by the bank president that it was not my account and that I was to keep my mouth shut. To which I had some rather nice things to say to her. They refunded the atm withdrawal within about 2 weeks and the fee from it.

However they didn't refund any of the other fees we had to pay due to their error. When we went back in to discuss this with the * we were told that we were lucky they gave us back what they did and that had been a courtesy refund. Wasn't it courteous of them to give us back the money we didn't spend! We have also had problems with deposits being short a dollar here a few cents there.

Those dollars and cents add up when you are taking it from thousands of people every day. Recently I had a company charge my card for a service that was canceled when my husband went to the bank he was told there was nothing he could do short of paying the stop payment fee but that if he did that the company would just resubmit it and get paid anyway. I thought the whole reason for having the visa logo on our card was to protect us against fraud.
