I am writing this to thank those of you that have reported this company. I wonder how many people actually got taken by them. My wife and I submitted an online application to get a personal loan. This day and age every one needs some help from time to time. I recieved a phone call yesterday in regaurds to my loan. My wife gave me all the information and I called at my lunch break at work. I finished with the phone call once I was done with work. Bottom line I was approved for $5000 a much needed sum of money. The gentlemen faxed me all of the contracts but it seemed strange because he wouldn't really answer my questions until after he faxed the paper work. I finally recieved the paper work and called him back. The contract stated that I was approved for $5000 but in order to get my money I would have to sign and return the contract of course, but also make 8 monthly payments of $117.26 or make a lump sum payment of $820.82. When I asked who I would be sending the payment to I was told he could not disclose any of that information until the contract was signed. It was explained to me that this payment was like a security on the loan, because I paid that I would not have to pay again until August 1. All of the contract looks very real. I am not 100% sure this is a scam. I just have a gut feeling about it. I told the man I would have to talk to my wife and would get back to him when I got home and had a chance to speak with her. After talking with my wife and her attempt to call the gentlemen, my wife began looking for information on this company over the internet. See we can't just pay somone $820.82 without knowing for sure that this is true. My wife felt uncomfortable with the fact that I was told that when I had the money they would tell me where to send it. Anyway, in doing the research we found this website plus a few others that not only had the name of the company and it also had the name of the very man I spoke with. Now, it seems that all of these people did not get scammed as they did research prior to signing the deal (thank the heavens). My wife also looked up the buisness with the BBB to no avail. Then decided to look at the Chamber of Commerce. Once again nothing turned up. Then my wife looked up the address on google earth to find a storage facillity there. So I called the man and told him I had the money because the other attempts the calls were not returned. I finally got ahold of him and my wife took over the phone call. My wife asked immediatly for the Tax ID and Buisness ID number (none of which she got). She was told not a problem and he had to look it up. While he was looking up that information she spoke with him about the BBB and the Chamber of Commerce. She was told the BBB charges to much for them to registar with them and that in the state of Virgina a private buisness such as this did not have to register with the Chamber of Commerce. When asked about the comments on these sites she was told that none of these people were approved for the loan and in their anger wrote these posts. He then encouraged my wife to look up on the BBB and see how many complaints there were on the BBB itself. My wife played his game with him just to see what all he would say. When asked about the address she was told their address had a suite number in it. Why would that suite number not be on the paper work? She then told him that she read once they were ready to send the money they would be given the name of someone to send it to. He never did tell us who was funding the loan and who we would be dealing with. Once again under the pretense that this information was not to be disclosed until the contract was signed. My wife finally told him to cancell the whole thing that she just had a gut feeling. The gentlemen was nice and did not get rude at all however, this whole thing has left my wife and I very thankful for gut feelings. My wife told the man she would not post on this site, however I said no such thing. I know that people are in search of loans to help them in this very trying time right now but please don't be so desperate for money that you send someone your electric bill, cable bill, water bill and food money in hopes that you get a large sum in return.in doing research later on I discovered that legitamate company's will not ask you for such a large up front fee. If they do it is because the loan is a secure loan and you have to give the exact money you borrow. Please do your research and be safe. Thank the Lord we did not get taken. However we still need to look for a way to get the loan we need.
