Tryed to get personal information and closed my account

I have been with this company for awhile now then all of a sudden I couldn't log in my account to pay my bill and my card was closed down. I never been late with them and no notice in the mail for the reason.

I saw the number on my caller id and called it was supposde the fraud people. They told me that I need to prove who I was and to mail my personal information to them and gave me the address they wanted me to send it to. I thought that was wierd I hung up got my bill out and called that number and talked to customer service and they said yes your account is shut down until you do what they say and send in the so called documentation.

Phone bill elcetric bill and a copy of my drivers lisense. Ive never heard of this. I don't mail anything that people ask for such things How do I know that its what they say its gonna be so my account is suppolsey closed and I can't log in my account. This week I am paying what left on my bill and leaving from them.

There business practice is just fishy I don't know to trust or not but I thought I'd warn you about this.
