States you can send money instantly but in an emergency it takes 3 to 4 days to be recieved

I sent money to my son for an emergency thru Pay Pal's send money feature that claims that anyone with an e-mail address will recieve instantly. Well that is a lie because my son was told that he would recieve the money in 3 to 4 days. That does nothing to help with the emergency today. The money was taken out of my account in minutes but it takes 3 to 4 days to get it to his bank??? Somethings not right about this and I want to know where my money for those three days. I sent money to help my son not pay pals cash flow. I can no longer feel confident that pay pal is on the up & up and am going to change all my accounts tomorrow to another bank. If they will lie to you then they are not to be trusted in my book. I posted this in hope that it will keep someone from dealing with the hardship that my son is dealing with now thanks to Pay Pal.
