The DIA Group
Promised debt relief & yet they don't even keep your information on file regarding your accounts

Business & Finance

I received a call from the DIA Group stating my good history with my credit card company qualified me to lower my interest rate. This ended up being a program that costs over $700. I hesitantly agreed even though I had to accept the offer right then and could not discuss it with my husband and call them back. They promised to save me over $2500 or my money would be refunded. My interest rates had risen due to my high balances.

After filling out all the forms by hand (no internet programs available) I returned them with all my creditors names, interest rates, balances and contact info. I was led to believe they had negotiated certain rates with these companies for their customers. After rescheduling my initial interview to go over the info I had already sent them 3 times (with no reason why they missed the calls), I spent hours on the phone verifying the very paperwork I had just sent in.

Then, the negotiating began with my creditors. They called with me on the other line and explained who they were (which the creditors were not familiar with and had no agreement to lower any rates). I ended up doing all the talking and trying to negotiate my rate with them. I explained to the DIA Group that they were not helping me and I wanted a refund. They asked me to wait longer and see what they could do.

I have not once been contacted by them since their initial call to get my money. And every time I have contacted them, they cannot find me in their computer system, and then they want me to give them my account numbers, balances, and rates all over again. Then, today was the last straw. I was told that DIA Group was under new management and they do not have any of the customer's information and would not agree to the refund policy. The representative was not knowledgable about anything and when I asked for a manager, I was placed on hold and then told the manager was not available. I asked for a name and was simply told "Paula" because they could not give out her full name. I asked for a phone number and was told they were in the same department and were many managers (yet somehow they were unavailable). I gave them my number and asked for a manager to contact me with no response.

I was looking for a way to report them and ran across this website with another complaint. I agreed to their deal because I needed help and now all they have done is taken me for over $700 that I didn't have in the first place. I demand something be done about this. I have a written contract signed November. If anyone knows what I can do to get help with this, please contact me or respond. The new management is now "The Resolution Center" as far as I can tell from the idiot on the phone who couldn't tell her right foot from her left.
