Inc. Tried paying over the phone, a week later a owe another $40.00 because they made a mistake Tupel, mississippi

I sent a check to F C S on Aug 11 in full amount. On the 26th I called them to see if they recieved it. They replied no. But they said "if you pay over the phone today or before this friday (the 29th) and paid another $10.00. This debt would not go on my credit report." I replied O.K. I told them I will call my bank and put a hold on my check 1037, and pay right now., I gave them all my checking account info, and told them to use check #1047 in the new amount that I owe. Also told them that check #1037 will be no good if it ever gets there. EASY!!! WHATEVER.

On Sept 4 I recieve a call and F C S states I have not paid, and now owe another $40.00 b/c my check 1037 did not go through. I told them the story they then said we will look back at the 26th and call you back today. Well on the 5th I called back b/c they did not same story i owe $40.00 plus my orig bill.

They are telling me that I put a stop hold on check #1037 which is correct. And never told them about check # 1047 which is a lie. I am still waiting to hear from them.

F C S. Is in doubt the most difficult company I have had to work with.
OH still waiting.
