Was contacted on the phone on 27 Aug by someone named Frank ONeil

Yesterday I was contacted on the phone by this person and I was told that that they are authorised by the Canadian and US governments to refund tax paid money to genuine citizens.
This person said he had tried to contact me for the last 3 days regarding a refund of $5000 to me. He confirmed my address though I did not give him any information and I told him that he had to give me a phone number so that I could verify his credentials. The phone 718 819 1078 was given to me and was told to ask for this Frank chap.
This person said that he can not send a cheque and the deposit would be sent to my bank account. Once the money is deposited only then they will charge my bank account with $299 for the service. I believe that that is the way to get hold of somebody's account info and then they take over from there.
Good, I was watchful enough and also thanks to the internet community for the feedback. I do hope this information will be helpful to other people who are contacted by these scamsters
