Foreclosure letter over $1,200 in late fees after eight months

This company has been ripping me off for months. They report to the credit bureau that I am late and then charge me late fees. They process my account whenever they feel like it and then expect me to pay.
They recently sent me a foreclosure letter for late fees in the amount of $1,200, even though they have only had my account since May.
I would like to know how they can say I owe them that much when it has only been 8 months. That would mean they are charging me over $100.00 per month in late fees, when I haven't been late.
