Certified IRS Solutions Took $3240 with promise to solve tax matters - then closed doors - leaving me wit huge debt

Paid Certified Irs Solutions $3,240 which they assured me they could fix my tax debt to all I would have to pay was $500. This was stated to me by Spence Carlson. Assured me they would not quit until I was satisified and not indebted to the IRS. After a lengthly 16 months they finally filed a Offer In Compromise with the IRS.

When we received letters from the IRS asking for more information twice, it took numerous phone calls, faxes and e-mails before getting any response. On the last request we had 30 days to get back in touch with the IRS before they closed the case. Repeatedly called, faxed and e-mailed IRS Solutions begging them to contact the IRS. No contact was made and the IRS closed our case, put a judgement and lein against me and now want the money.

During the time the company had my case there were at least 3 different people that worked on the case and every time you called it was like they had to read the information sent previously and start over in what needed to be done. Once I received the first request from the IRS after the Offer in Compromise they repeatedly stated I should just call the IRS and set up payments.

When I last talked with Spence Carlson on 6-27-08 he told me to call the IRS and set up payments. Told him they had dropped the ball on what they assurred me they would do and I expected them to help me get this settled. He stated after I talked with the IRS after the week of 7-4-08 to get back in touch and they would help me. It took until 7-22-08 for the local IRS office to get the information from the Offer in Compromise and call me back.

Upon calling Certified IRS Solutions and getting a busy signal I checked their web site and found the message not in business. What recourse do I have to try to collect my money. The reason the IRS closed the case was that they did not receive the requested information from Certified IRS Solutions in the time frame they set up. The money I paid Certified IRS Solutions could help paying the tax debt.
