Terrible experience

I started out 2 mons behind and they offered a special forbearance program to see if we could get on a program - maybe lower payments or something like that, and I made the scheduled payments as agreed and I didn’t here from them close to end and I called them they advised me I didn’t qualify for any program and now am 5 mons behind and they want 9,000 dollars!!! What??? We called then tried to negotiate but not going so well — we worked out 10,000 deal 4 payments in 5 wks!!! I don’t think I can do it though, that’s a lot of money.
