Jon Blackwell-Sr. Loan Officer Charged me $2k for loan app. Fee and then vanished. Can't contact anyone again. Atlanta Georgia

I inquired about a hard money loan for an apartment complex in Texas on Loopnet, a commercial property website. I recieved an email from Oxford Street Capital saying they could help. Since we had a complete loan package with open title, survey, appraisal and had time issues, Jon Blackwell, the sr. Loan officer said could close in 3 weeks. They had to do site inspection and then were ready to draw docs. He needed the traditional $2k app. Fee. I sent and they went to work. Everything was going very very smooth and we were so excited to get to closing table but 2 days before that, he fell off the map.

We have been trying for 3 weeks to get anyone on the phone. Nothing but voice mail. I recently left voice mail that he had till end of day or I would go to the authorities. That didn't work. I called the office complex where the company is located and they verified they did reside there. Wow, I guess if the company had 100 people that gave them $2k each they would make a good bit of dough. I got scammed. I never would have thought it.
