Says I owe money but they have the wrong person

Washington Mutual, BCG, BCR and Phillips & Cohen Associates have all called claiming that my wife has a credit card account with them that is in default.

Each of the times that we were called 5-8,5-10,5-21 and 6-6 I gave them proof that they had the wrong person and they said that they would remove my phone number from that accout.

After the 3rd call I even sent a certified letter telling them to cease and desist all attempts to contact us and that we were not the people they were looking for and also that we did not, nor did we ever have an account with them. I also explained the content of the calls in detail.

They even tried to say that the fact that I sent that letter was proof to them that we were the right people and that was why it was ignored.

I think I will file a report with the FTC next week.
