S Bully Tactics

Numerous times Simm Assoc has been told to not contact me at work. They still call once a week. One collector of theirs even told me if I didn't call them back before the end of the day they were going to come to my company and have my wages garnished the next morning.

Of course they haven't done that yet. Nor do they have the power to. Only a Judge can order that.

They are nasty on the phone to the point of bulling and try scare tactics to convince you to pay or else. They deny buying bad debt from companies and refer to the CC company I owed the money to as their "Client".

The debt has been written off and marked on my credit report for the next 7 years. It can only be removed by the original reporting agency, yet they tell me it's not been written off or reported. They will lie or do whatever it takes to get you to pay.

Now when they call me at home, I will stay on the phone with them and get them so flustered and angry that they hang up on me. It's been very theraputic...

Know your rights and know the limitations of collection methods. They assume you don't know what is allowed. The Feds have placed many laws and limits on tactics and behavior.
