My mortgage company had begun the foreclosure process on my home approximately 2 years ago. The mortgage company was still willing to work with me but demanded 2500 dollars to stop the sale of my home. I got online desperate and eventually was contacted by a sweet lady named Paula from Law and Associates who was so mortified that my lender was so unsympathetic to my situation and even gave me the story how she lost her home and that is why she got into this business of helping people. I told her I couldnt come up with the 2500 dollars required by my lender and Paula proceeded to assure me that she would stop the sale of my home for a fee of 1500 dollars. They were willing to take 2 seperate payments so I had to go for it.

To make a very long hard story short, I paid Law and Associates 1500 dollars to do absolutely nothing... A young man got involved and told me that the bank would take about 200 dollars or so less than they had quoted me. Well 1500 dollars less at this point I certainly didnt have 2300 dollars lying around to give them. The gentleman then advised me to contact the mortgage company myself b/c he didnt really know what else to do.

I made phone call after phone call to my lender and various other lenders and even attempted bankruptcy, all to no avail. I lost my home and when I went back to law and associates to have them honor there "100% money back gaurantee" they made up every lie and excuse they could to keep from paying me back (which they never did btw). I spoke with the "owner" of the company Tom who was not the slightest bit helpful or sympathetic and very mean.
If mortgage companies are bad these people are truly the devil... They are knowingly preying on people in a vulnerable situation and must be stopped! I'd LOVE to see how many success stories they have... I'm betting ZERO!
